The arts and crafts of the Ore Mountains are an integral part of the region, as they have made this beautiful part of Germany famous. This Schwibbogen showcases the skills of the Ore Mountain craftsman. Armed with a variety of tools, the pyramid builder stands in his own workshop and sets to work. The craftsmen, three in number, produce the most important product of the artisan, the Schwibbogen. They saw, sand and build. Once the candle arch is finished, some of them are beautifully painted. The candle arch builders, the pyramid builders and the painters – all these wonderful professions are depicted in this arch in the finest detail.
