To ensure that Pitti does not lose his familiar and lovable face due to a gaping jaw, we have come up with something very special: A hardwood thread operated by the rotating head cracks the nuts with ease in the opening hidden in the back. This way, our Pitti retains his cute appearance. Our nutcracker Pitti was created on behalf of and in collaboration with MDR. He comes from the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains and is made from local beech wood by RATAGS Holzdesign HEIPRO GmbH. This hardwood is particularly dimensionally stable. We have polished the glaze to give it an elegant silk matt sheen. The characteristic white fur on the head and arms contrasts with the dark body. The two red shoes also have white pom-poms.
