Unter einer stilisierten Tanne haben sich drei handgeschnitzte Rehe niedergelassen, um an einer filigranen Futterkrippe zu grasen. Die kleine Naturszene dieser ansprechenden Tischpyramide erinnert an den Winterwald im Erzgebirge. Die Tanne ist in einem aufwendigen Bearbeitungsverfahren, dem sogenannten "Sandeln" gefertigt, bei dem Naturholz zunächst gebrannt und anschließend vorsichtig abgebürstet wird, um die schöne Maserung freizulegen.
